Big Trouble as Medical Student Posted Delivery Room Selfie Next To Woman's Vagina On Instagram.

A medical student is in fears of been fired for posting a disturbing picture of him next to a woman's vagina in a hospital delivery room.

Venezuela-based Daniel Sanchez reportedly posted the offending photogragh to his Instagram account(now made private with the caption "Lady,I can  deliver your baby,but first let me take a selfie",according to VICE.

Vice reports that the controversial image depicted Sanchez smirking at the camera while a woman,who is unclad from the waist down gives birth behind him."Little Devils are brought into the world,[vaginas]are reconstructed,they're are made to be like new,almost 0 kilometers",continues Sanchez's caption.

In response to the photo,the group,"Roses Revolution",which aims to end obstetric violence,started a Change.org petition encouraging an investigation of Sanchez.

Health professionals and students dealing with mothers should have impeccable behavior at all times that respects the emotional and physical needs of women in labor and their babies",reads the petition.Violation of their rights many times constitutes a crime, and at all times shows an abuse of power,bad practice and perpetuates the abuse of women in situations of vulnerability".

"It is absolutely unacceptable and illegal to take pictures of the woman or babies admitted to maternity services without their knowledge and without their consent".It continues."It is just simply inappropriate in the professional interaction,and to then publish it on social media with sexually discriminatory comments is extremely worrying and an embarrassment to any hospital to any hospital".

The petition ask for Sanchez's hospital to investigate his practices and to take appropriate actions.It currently has over 5,000 supporters.

According to VICE,Sanchez apologized to the petition's creator,Jesusa Ricoy of Roses Revolution,for the photo,but says he did not take the photo himself,he had the consent of the woman pictured.

Surprisingly,Sanchez is not the only health professional opting to take selfies in delivery rooms.Though not all the images are as graphic,a number of nurses and doctors have posted selfies from hospital rooms using the hashtag "#deliveryroom".
