COMMERCIAL SEX WORKERS OBSERVE CANDLE LIGHT SERVICE FOR SLAIN COLLEAGUE



There was mild drama in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Monday night, as several commercial sex workers staged a candlelight procession in honour of their colleagues, who were allegedly killed by suspected ritualists, weekend.

All dressed in black,the sex workers proceeded to the Nigerian Union of Journalists(NUJ),Oke-Ilewo,Abeokuta,as they wailed,mourning their colleagues.

One of their slain colleagues by name Sitira,was found in a  refuse dump site at Olomoore junction,Abeokuta,Sunday morning.

Suspected ritualists were said to have abandoned the corpse of the 23-year-old prostitute after severing some flesh from her body.

The late Sitira was said to have been thrown off a moving Sport Utility Vehicle, SUV, along Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway.

According to reports,the sex workers claim a second colleague was also killed by suspected ritualists,and her body mutilated and thrown off a ditch at Olomoore.
