CHELSEA BATTLES TO SECURE DEAL ON EVERTON'S DEFENDER JOHN STONE


Everton defender John Stones is facing a "test of character" as he deals with Chelsea's interest, according to his captain Phil Jagielka.

The Premier League champions had two bids for Stones -- of £20 million and£26 million -- rejected during July, and are widely expected to return with a third.
