Despite the rumored death of the paramount ruler,the families of the Ooni of Ife,Oba Sijuwade Okunade and the former National Emergency Management Authority boss,Mrs Remi Olowu,will today join their son and daughter in holy matrimony.
After much consultations and deliberation,the two families came to a resolution to proceed with a wedding between their children.
Meanwhile,according to reports,their is disagreement among the residence of Ife concerning the on-going Oro festival which enters its third day today.
According to Vanguard report,many residents believed that the announcement of the wedding is an official preparatory announcement to the passage of the Ooni.
But others were of the opinion that the plans of the festival were already decided even before the alleged demise of the Paramount ruler.
It is learnt however that the door at the back of the palace of the King,which is supposed to be opened at the death of a monarch were seen closed.
